The Focal Press Monthly Photography Contest is open to everyone -- it's simple and free to enter. Simply register and upload your photo! You can also vote on photos and forward this contest to your friends so they can vote.
The focus of the January Contest is LIGHT.
Competition News
New rules for 2009!
First and Second place winners will be chosen by the monthly guest judge. Third place winners will be chosen by popular vote. Third place winners will only be eligible to win once every four months (Jan-April, May-Aug, Sept-Dec).
Unless otherwise noted at the start of each month, First, Second and Third place winners will receive a Focal photography book as their prize and be entered to win one of our three (yes, three!) grand prizes for the year. For more information on the prizes, see below.
Entrants may only enter TWO photos per month.
Rules
Only two photos per entrant per month.
Photos do not appear on the site automatically. They will be posted within 48 hours of entry. Typically, it will be less than 24 hours with the exception of weekends and holidays.

Winner will be chosen from the among the First, Second and Third Place winners from May, June, July and August 2009.
