A hot, sunny day in Invermere. Chica and I are waiting for our friend, outside the coffee shop. We create an interesting pattern... and then I reversed and mirrored that.

This is a combination of five images, as well as a handful of overlays and adjustment layers. The illustration is based on the elemental theme of time. If you''ll notice in the mirror, I digitally aged the face. Thanks for looking!

This photo is often confused as being shot through a rainy window, the water element. In fact, it is shot through old, uneven glass. Hence the title, Key Case.

Threatening skies are enough to make any antique car owner run for the nearest garage. These stormy clouds provided an interesting backdrop to the hood ornament on this vintage Packard.

Focus

The focus of the March contest is THE ELEMENTS, sponsored by Adobe Photoshop Elements 7. The theme of "The Elements" isn't just the software but all of The Elements that surround you from the weather to traffic problems on your morning commute!

Judges

This month's guest judge for our First and Second place winners will be Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 author Philip Andrews.


Important note

In 2009, First and Second place winners will be chosen by the monthly guest judge. Third place winners and three honorable mentions will be chosen by popular vote. Third place winners are only eligible to win once in a four month period (Jan-Apr, May-Aug, Sept-Dec). First, Second and Third place monthly winners for Jan-April will be entered to win our First 2009 Grand Prize; monthly winners from May-Aug will be entered to win our Second 2009 Grand Prize; monthly winners from Sept-Dec will be entered to win our Third 2009 Grand Prize. You may upload up to two different photographs per month, but you will not be eligible to win more than one prize per month. You can only vote once for each picture.
